A laptop beside house plants

One More Time

A mug sitting on my left, pen and paper on my right, and keyboard in front of me.

“Hmmm, what should I write?” my mind wandered while I’m staring at a blank page.

Tik, tok, tik, tok – the sound of my fingers stamping on the table.

I started clicking letters on my keyboard.

I typed the first word and then the second.

Then I type and type and type – until I finished a paragraph.

I read.

Then I re-read.

And then deleted everything.

I stared at a blank page – again.

I again type a first word and then a second.

I looked outside the window, and a thought swing by.

Then I continued typing more and more and more..

  1. Sometimes it’s like waiting for that tingle I feel when fun words,
    or the understanding words,
the words who totally get it and know just what to say,
or the words who just wanna hug me
    and not let go…
or the words who packed sandwiches…

Sometimes, it’s about waiting for these words to show up

and maybe hoping for a roll down the hill…
    or a glide
on things that suddenly feel like wings again…

    Y’know?
